Chenzo Cases.

About the project

Facts first. Then we talk.

Chenzo Cases keeps cold cases and real mysteries in one place, sourced and searchable, so they don't fade out of memory.

What this is

Every case gets a file: what happened, a timeline, key facts with their sources, open questions, photos and video that are cleared to share, and the tip line for the agency working it.

Under each file is a discussion board where people can talk it through, ask questions and point to public records others missed. The goal is simple: keep these cases in front of people until they get an ending.

It started with Flagler County, Florida, because that's home. Files from across the country followed, and more are on the way.

Spot a problem?

If something is wrong, out of date, or you want something removed, send a correction or removal request and read the content policy. On a discussion board, use Report on the post.

The six rules

  1. Public information only. Agency releases, court records, public databases and published reporting. Nothing leaked, nothing private.
  2. Every fact has a source. The small numbers next to facts show where they came from. Tap one and the source pops up.
  3. Our own words. We summarize and link to news coverage. We never copy articles.
  4. Careful with media. We host official releases, public-domain and openly licensed files with credit. Everything else is linked, not copied.
  5. No accusations. Nobody is called a suspect here unless police or prosecutors said so publicly. No minors' identities unless officially released. No graphic images.
  6. Community talk stays labeled. Anything from the community is marked unverified and kept apart from the facts.

Questions people ask

What is Chenzo Cases?

A free, searchable library of cold cases and real mysteries, starting in Flagler County, Florida. Each case is broken down from public records with sources, case numbers, tip lines and a discussion board.

Is Chenzo Cases law enforcement?

No. We are not police and we do not take tips. Every case page lists the agency and tip line so information goes to the people who can act on it.

Where does the information come from?

Public sources only: agency releases, court records, public databases like NamUs, and published news. Summaries are written in our own words and every fact links to its source.

Do I need an account to post?

No. Pick any name or handle. Posts are moderated, rate limited and can be reported.

How do I request a correction or removal?

Use the submit form and choose "Correction or removal request", or read the content policy. Family members and people named on the site get priority.

Who runs it?

Chenzo, a web designer from Flagler Beach who makes the Mysteries by Chenzo videos. A project by ChenzoDesigns.com.
