Privacy policy
Privacy, in plain words.
Plain-language summary written for this site. It is not legal advice.
The short version
No cookies, no ads, no tracking pixels, no accounts. We only keep what you choose to send us, plus a scrambled version of your IP address so we can stop spam.
What we collect
- Discussion posts: the name or handle you pick, your post, the time, and a one-way hash of your IP address (used for rate limits and spam). Posts are public.
- Submissions: whatever you put in the form and any files you attach. Name and email are optional and never published.
- Reports: the post you reported, an optional reason, and an IP hash.
- Server logs: our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (like IP address and browser) to deliver and protect the site.
Things on your device
We set no cookies. If you post, your handle is saved in your browser's local storage so you don't have to retype it. You can clear it anytime in your browser settings.
Third parties
- Cloudflare hosts the site and runs Turnstile, a privacy-friendly spam check on forms. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- YouTube videos load only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. After that, Google's policies apply.
- Links to news sites and agencies take you to their sites and their policies.
How long we keep it
Posts stay up until they're removed by you (ask us), by moderation, or when the case page is taken down. Submissions are kept while we review them and deleted when no longer needed, usually within 12 months.
Your choices
To get a post or submission removed or corrected, send a removal request and tell us which post or case. We don't sell or share personal information.
Kids
Chenzo Cases is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
