Keri Cefarelli, 40, left the home she shared in the North Fort Myers area on January 5, 2017, and never came back. Investigators said she left behind her purse, money, identification and phone charger. She was last seen wearing a light blue robe, long shorts and flip-flops.

In the days that followed there were reported sightings of her in central Fort Myers, but she has not been in contact with family or friends since. Her family, who live out of state, has said it would be completely unlike her to walk away from them, and especially from her teenage son, who was visiting relatives at the time.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office investigates the case, and the FBI's Violent Criminal Apprehension Program issued a missing-person alert for her in February 2023. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has repeatedly asked the public for help. She has not been found.
